[absurdity] I should just give in an become a lawyer ...
... because clearly that it what life is trying to tell me. By throwing me headfirst into a pool of published court opinions more than 30 years deep. with a side of annotations to §767.56 that are updated whenever a court sets a precedent.
legalese. SO MUCH FUCKING LEGALESE. as;lkdjfh I'm swimming in god-damned legalese. And thinking in it.
I can't even write a paragraph or talk with my mom for a few minutes without making references like "... in the case of X v. X in the year 19__, where the WI [insert court here] opinioned that [insert something complicated in legalese here] and then [reversed/remanded/upheld] the trial court's judgment because it violated part of WI §767.56 and went against the precedent set by the [insert court name here] in the case of Y v. Y" and so and so forth.
I can't even go on Facebook without thinking that I need to somehow find a way to connect what I write on my friends' walls to a published court opinion.
